A regular face seen at Northam Race Club meetings, former top jockey and present day RWWA Clerk Of Scales Mark Grigsby turned his hand to art when he retired from riding. On Friday night the culmination of his efforts were rewarded when he opened the first ever exhibition of his works. Grigsby is displaying 30 pieces of his art-work at the exhibition. Most paintings have a racing theme and several of his works can be seen in hanging in Northam Race Clubs on-course office. The exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday July 5th through to Wednesday July 30th. The venue is Oceanus Restaurant at 195 Challenger Parade City Beach. Opening times are Monday to Saturday 12pm till late and on Sundays 8am till late.
