Kid Choisir Returns In Brilliant Fashion!
Posted on 2/05/2010 | Posted by Julio Santarelli | Back to News Archive
The progression of brilliant sprinter Kid Choisir took another giant leap forward with a commanding victory in today’s $100,000 O’Shea Realty Northam Sprint. The Frank Maynard-trained three-year-old was simply too good and too classy for his rivals defeating last year’s winner Vain Raider and Oroya God who was making ground late. Kid Choisir enjoyed an outstanding juvenile season last year that culminated with Listed wins in the Supremacy and Placid Ark Stakes and his win today confirmed he has gone on to the next level and is on the cusp of being WA’s next sprinting superstar.
The Bolton Sprint is now his next likely target and an eastern states campaign in the spring is beckoning.
Today’s win takes his imposing strikerate to six wins and two placings from ten career starts and maintains his unbeaten first up record of three wins.
It also capped off a great day at the office for Paul Harvey who rode a further two winners on the program: My Richard for Lindsey Smith in race three and in the last Perricoota Miss for Stephen Rowe.
