Snug Buggles Wraps Up Easy Maiden Win
Posted on 24/09/2009 | Posted by Julio Santarelli | Back to News Archive
Jeune Filly Snug Buggles was sent out an odds-on favourite in today’s Planning To Build Maiden (1300m) and won the race accordingly.
The Lindsey Smith-trained three-year-old was as impressive as you can get and only kidded with her rivals as she scored a convincing two-and-a-half length maiden win over Celtic Rock and Handel’s Messiah.
She looked a winner a long way from home and was stalking her rivals in third position behind Royal Agent and Jimmy’s Toil who were setting the tempo out early; second favourite Quite Bexaar was in fourth position.
But inside the 400 metre mark Harvey hit the go button and she just cruised to the lead in effortless fashion and immediately put paid to the race.
Today’s win takes her record to one win and a third placing from two career starts with the promise of more victories in the future.
