Divine Dancer Should Finish In First Two: Ward

Divine Dancer will get the opportunity of breaking her maiden status in today’s Environmentally Healthy Maiden (1400m).
The four-year-old mare has yet to crack it for a win in nine career starts but is racing consistently enough to suggest a win is just around the corner.
Trainer Darryl Ward is confident of a forward showing this afternoon.
“She is a good chance today and if she doesn’t finish in the first two I would be very disappointed,” Ward said on Racing Radio this morning.
“She was extremely unlucky last-start in Kalgoorlie when caught up in traffic at a crucial stage in the race.
“From today’s draw she should be able to get into a handy position and if she doesn’t lead Jarrad won’t have her too far away.
“From there he can take a sit, curl his mo and wait for an opportunity to pounce and she should be able to do the rest from there.”
