The Northam Race Club could land a major coup with news that brilliant Kalgoorlie

 Cup winner Gondorff may be heading to the Avon Valley.

Trainer Mark Reed indicated on Racing Radio this morning that Gondorff could be targeting the Northam Cup on October 25 as his next major mission.

“There is no doubt I’m looking at the Perth Cup,” Reed said.

“But after a small freshen-up we might look at the Northam Cup as a lead in.”

The six-year-old gelding is racing in career-best form and his appearance in Northam ahead of a Perth Cup tilt will no doubt attract enormous interest and profile to Northam’s biggest race meeting of the year.
