Training honours at Northam this afternoon went to Phil Duggan who landed a double with Southern Comfort and Alister'��s Hope.

Sothern Comfort opened proceedings in the Lui Tuia 70th Maiden (1100m) by working up outside the lead and scoring victory over Simply Mak and Guest Wing.

Today'��s win takes her record to a win and three placings from seven career starts.

Guest Wing was a little green in the straight and will benefit from the run as will Tennessy who missed the start and did well to run on for fourth.

The second-leg of the Duggan double arrived with the win of Alister Hope'��s win in the Universal Prince Handicap (2200m).

The McFlirt gelding proved too strong and powered home down the outside of the track to defeat Kejo Kara and Marleycombe.

Kejo Park tried to go with the winner but he had too many guns after travelling from the rear of the field.

His win today follows his good fourth to Luskin Dancer at Belmont Park on July 11 and takes his record to five wins and five placings from 33 starts.
